AS05 is a grey cast cement ventilation block by Apong Stone, a Malaysian manufacturer with plants in Banting and Teluk Panglima Garang (Selangor), Penaga (Penang) and Muar (Johor). A diagonal fin divides the square opening corner-to-corner, leaving a large triangular air path and a solid triangular infill. Laid in a stacked grid it forms a breathing screen wall for facades, boundary walls, carports, stairwells and courtyard partitions, admitting daylight and cross-ventilation.
