AS01 is a grey cast cement ventilation block by Apong Stone, a Malaysian manufacturer with plants in Banting and Teluk Panglima Garang (Selangor), Penaga (Penang) and Muar (Johor). The square module carries an L-shaped through-opening shielded by an internal angled hood, which screens direct sight lines through the wall while letting air pass. Laid in a stacked grid it forms a breathing screen wall for facades, boundary walls, carports, stairwells and courtyard partitions, admitting daylight and cross-ventilation.
